White Sands Missile Range Museum The outside of the museum is a missile park that has more than 50 missiles and rockets. Many of the missiles at the museum are pointed skyward as if they could launch at any moment. In the museum, you will find the works of various accomplished scientists such as Dr. Clyde Thombaugh and Dr. Werner von Braun. Be prepared to go through security as the museum is located within an operational military compound. New Mexico Museum of Space History A museum and planatarium dedicated to artifacts and displays related to space flight and the space age, including the International Space Hall of Fame. This museum highlights the role that New Mexico has had in the U.S. Space Program. This museum is a Smithsonian Affliate and is a great place to learn. Alameda Park Zoo Home to 200 animals the Alameda Park Zoo is a fun place to spend the day with animal lovers of all ages.
